The Spare Parts Incharge in the Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry is responsible for overseeing all aspects related to spare parts management within the manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring the availability of spare parts required for production, maintenance, and repair activities. The Spare Parts Incharge coordinates with various departments to forecast, procure, stock, and distribute spare parts efficiently to support uninterrupted production and servicing operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts required for EV manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Regularly monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and update inventory records to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to identify reliable suppliers of spare parts and components.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable deals.
- Place purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely receipt of spare parts.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to forecast spare parts requirements based on production schedules, maintenance schedules, and historical usage data.
- Develop comprehensive spare parts planning strategies to anticipate demand fluctuations and mitigate potential shortages.
- Coordinate the distribution of spare parts to production lines, maintenance workshops, and service centers as per predefined schedules and priority levels.
- Establish efficient logistics and distribution channels to facilitate the timely delivery of spare parts to various locations.
- Ensure that all spare parts meet quality standards and specifications required for EV manufacturing and servicing.
- Implement quality control measures to inspect incoming spare parts for defects and discrepancies.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to spare parts management, including environmental regulations and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of spare parts inventory, procurement transactions, and distribution activities.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, procurement costs, and supplier performance metrics.
- Analyze data and provide insights to optimize spare parts management processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline spare parts management processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize spare parts inventory control and distribution operations.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives aimed at improving overall supply chain performance within the EV manufacturing facility.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in spare parts management, preferably in the automotive or EV manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, procurement practices, and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records and documentation.
- Knowledge of EV components and systems is an advantage.
**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
