Azure Cloud Administrator

**The job**

You will have the day-to-day responsibility for the TORM environment running in an Azure cloud.

TORM operates with a Microsoft-based environment and uses Windows server as well as Microsoft SQL server. Microsoft's BI stack plays a significant role in the day-to-day decision support of TORM's business units, and BizTalk is responsible for the integration between the business systems. We use Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for our cloud adoption.

You will be responsible for providing ownership and leadership in Azure architecture, cloud deployment, administration, managing Azure solutions as well as the storage, identity, governance, virtual networks, security, and computing in a cloud environment - all in cooperation with specialized colleagues in Group IT.

**Your primary tasks**:

- Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state.
- Architecting and implementing Azure Cloud cost effective solutions for non-production environment such as Disaster Recovery, Development, Testing servers.
- Managing and deploying Azure solutions.
- Using PowerShell to deploy resources and repeatable deployments with ARM templates.
- Explore configuring hybrid connectivity between on-premises environments and Azure, and how to monitor network performance to comply with service-level agreements.
- Automating Deployment and Scale of Azure IaaS Solution script, automate, and scale Azure deployments.
- Install and configure Virtual Machines, Storage Account, Virtual Network & Load Balancer in the Azure Cloud.
- Configure Virtual Machine Scale Sets to optimize the performance of Application.
- Consult on Azure native technology capabilities.
- Assist with Azure Cost estimation.
- Debugging and troubleshooting of issues/opening tickets with Microsoft
- Manage, monitor, and report resource utilization on daily basis. Including but not limited to scaling vertical and horizontal.

**Your background and experience**

Professionally, you have 7-10 years of operational experience with optimizing the performance of Microsoft products (Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory) and clear understanding of core Cloud Computing services. You need to understand the basic functioning of Networking, Databases, Software, and Servers in the Cloud. You need to have a good understanding of security in a Microsoft environment, including Kerberos. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex IT information in simplified form depending on the target audience, and you have the drive to improve and do proactive research around emerging technologies/new iterations of MS Azure.

You have a good understanding of enterprise change management processes.

You are experienced with scripting (PowerShell) and can see how automation of operational tasks can contribute to the value-creation and operational excellence.

As a person you are structured, proactive, and good at prioritizing. You are defined by taking ownership of your assignments, can work independently while also achieving results through connecting with others. You are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
