**Job description**

We are now looking for a Material Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team based in Chennai. A key part of the role is to ensure and reinforce the conditions for completing the manufacturing of the products in production and processing purchase orders.

**Responsibilities**:
In this position your key responsibilities are:

- Ordering purchase items needed in production in accordance with the purchase suggestions given by the ERP-system plus other assignment orders.
- Monitoring delivery times, related inquiries and order confirmation.
- Managing requests to expedite and postpone purchase orders in accordance with the ERP-system.
- Transfer of purchase invoices from the ERP-system and processing with the invoice handling software. Processing and coordination of received and un-invoiced orders.
- Internal material transfer requests and placing sales orders with purchasing material suppliers.
- Reviewing and processing suppliers' backlog lists in cooperation with purchasing managers and material suppliers, as well as assisting in other supplier cooperation.

**Requirements**:

- Basic technical and/or commercial education
- 2-3 years of work experience in technical trade or industry
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of the materials and production methods of one's area of responsibility
- Strong IT skills
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.C
