**The Role**

Infrastructure Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients. You’re in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, and project executives to delivery and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client. You’ll be there from the start of a project — understanding what’s needed and figuring out the best technical solution. And you’ll be there at the finish, delivering the right product on time and within budget.

At Kyndryl we support all major cloud platforms, so you’ll get the chance to use everything you know - and then some. You’ll also become expert at knowing when and how to call on other SMEs outside your wheelhouse. Thinking your way around pre-existing limitations will grow your creativity and flexibility. Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Serve as the primary expert on firewall technologies including next-generation firewalls (NGFWs), traditional firewalls, and cloud-based firewall Solutions
- 6+ years of experience
- Design and implement secure firewall architectures in enterprise and hybrid cloud environments.
- Maintain and optimize firewall policies, rulesets, NAT configurations, and security zones.
- Perform regular firewall rule reviews, audits, and compliance assessments (e.g., PCI DSS, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting related to firewall or network security issues.
- Collaborate with SOC, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to enforce security best practices.
- Monitor performance, availability, and logs of firewall systems, leveraging SIEM tools where applicable.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
- Document configurations, procedures, and provide technical reports and risk assessments.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 7+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower).
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) for firewall management is a plus.
- Graduation in Computer Science /Engineering.
- Network & Security Certifications in CCNA/CCNP/ CCSA /CCSP/ CCNP/Relevant certifications in CISCO/Fortinet/Palo Alto.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience- MS Project or other Project Management software- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders of all levels
