**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintaining existing code as well as improving and updating code as needed
- Reviewing current processes and making recommendations for improvement
- Working with the team on day-to-day operations
- Constructively providing feedback and insights to your peers through code reviews and other discussions
- Constantly improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- 3+ years of Ruby on Rails experience and strong knowledge in best practices
- Strong Linux working knowledge.
- Test driven development (Rspec, capybara)
- Mercurial and/or Git (branching and merging)
- Experience with continuous integration practices, pipelines, and workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You can explain complex topics to both highly technical and non-technical team members.
- Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
- We're casual and informal but we work hard and work responsibly A pleasant and supportive demeanour goes a long way.

**DESIRED SKILLS (Not Mandatory)**:

- Java

- Amazon Web Services (ELB, EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3)
