Department overview:
The Managed Corporate Actions (MCA) service is a best-in-class centralized source of validated corporate action announcements for nearly three million equities, fixed income, and structured finance securities across global markets. MCA services customers as a single source that streamlines operations for the collection, validation and dissemination of corporate actions

Position summary

MCA platform uses various complex business rules to produce high quality data and processed in high volume with strict SLAs for delivery of data. Application uses core technologies like Java, Oracle, ActiveMQ, Elastic Search, RestFul APIs.

Duties & accountabilities
- Works with the development team and product owners to develop acceptance test plans and review acceptance criteria for new content, capabilities and functionality.
- Prepares and executes test plans and report defects to product owner and development team.
- Should be able to estimate the testing efforts for automation, from high level requirement.
- Verify fixes to ensure that the added content, capabilities and functionality meets the requirements of the business and that the data is correct in its representation in the product.
- Identifies and clearly communicates priorities, dependencies and roadblocks to manager and key stakeholders.
- Anticipates, communicates and escalates product performance and delivery challenges appropriately.
- Work with Test automation engineer to automate test scenarios
- Identify test cases suitable for automation and performance testing

Business competencies

**Education and experience**
- University graduate or equivalent, preferably in a computing discipline
- 4+ years of Experience in Functional Testing.
- Demonstrable system / regression testing experience, ideally in a financial environment with a blend of manual and automated testing.
- Excellent understanding of software systems and development lifecycle.
- Proficient in writing database SQL queries
- Experience and understanding of the testing process, project test lifecycles, and techniques.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology
- Knowledge and experience of financial markets (preferable)
- Experience with Regulations buy side
- sell side dealings is a plus.

**Commercial awareness**
- Knowledge of financial instruments (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income) is a huge plus

**Management requirements**
- Strong inter-personal skills required. Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
