Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of Vertical Machining Center (VMC), Surface Grinding, and Wirecut machines during their assigned shift. The supervisor will ensure that all production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met, while also managing a team of machine operators. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of machining processes, and a focus on continuous improvement in production efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Supervision & Leadership**:

- Supervise a team of VMC, Surface Grinding, and Wirecut operators, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure operators follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and are adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and assist with training and development of operators.
- Ensure the shift runs efficiently by monitoring productivity and addressing any operational issues that arise. **Production Management**:

- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of VMC, Surface Grinding, and Wirecut machines to ensure they meet quality and production standards.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure all orders are completed on time and meet customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues promptly to avoid downtime.
- Ensure machines are properly calibrated and maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and company procedures. **Quality Control**:

- Conduct inspections and quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to resolve any non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections and product certifications. **Safety & Compliance**:

- Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all safety regulations are followed.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that all operators are trained in safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations. **Communication**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for shift-related issues, reporting production and operational status to the management team.
- Communicate effectively with other departments such as maintenance, engineering, and quality control to ensure smooth operations. **Continuous Improvement**:

- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and improving product quality.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed production logs and records of machine performance, maintenance activities, and operator performance.
- Provide shift reports on production performance, machine downtime, and any incidents or concerns to management.

**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in manufacturing or machining technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operating VMC, Surface Grinding, and Wirecut machines, with at least 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Knowledge of machining processes, machine setup, and maintenance procedures. **Skills & Abilities**:

- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues on VMC, Surface Grinding, and Wirecut machines.
- Knowledge of machining tolerances, quality control processes, and measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and machine programming is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹36,956.57 per month
