The Storage & Backup Administrator is responsible for managing all centralized storage technologies, Backup Infrastructure and backup technologies.

**What will your job look like?**:

- Supporting and troubleshooting Commvault backup, recovery in a large, complex and widely distributed environment.
- Capable of working constructively in a highly pressurized environment. Willing to work after office hours to manage critical escalations when necessary 24x7 availability as required for Out of Hours (OOH) coverage.
- Troubleshooting backup failures, handling escalations.
- Work with the Commvault support Vendor, internal IT teams (VMware, Linux, Windows, Storage).
- Plan and implement best practices for backup solutions.
- Create and update documentation for Commvault backup & restore procedures.
- Optimize backup environment.
- Handle issues related to CommVault Catalog databases, Storage Units, Policies, De-Duplication, vStorage APIs, etc
- Service management: maintain SLAs as per business standards

**All you need is...**:

- 5 years of Commvault installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting experience in an Enterprise environment.
- Very strong knowledge of Commvault Backup solution, Backup Policies, Media Agents and clients. Commvault logical components like storage policies, schedule policies and sub-client policies.
- Knowledge of VMware, Windows and Linux operation systems, Networking, Security, D2D & Tape Library concepts including associated technologies in an Enterprise multi-site Backup environment.
- Experience on Commvault Troubleshooting, Configuration, Upgrade, Policies, extensive understanding of Backup and Restore options.
- Knowledge and experience with Cloud platforms Azure/AWS.
- Knowledge of Commvault Hyperscale, Metallic.
- Competent in configuring disaster recovery and fault tolerant features.
- Advantage: Knowledge of enterprise storage systems, NAS and SAN
- Knowledgeable in CommVault firewall configuration and deployment issues.
- Knowledgeable in data center operations including handling tape library configuration and day to day operations.
- Ability to write scripts in any language (PowerShell, Bash, Ksh, Python)
- Ability to work alone and within a team.
- Ability to work and deliver within deadlines.
- Strong understanding of data security considerations and best practices.
