Export Officer: Food Items

The Export officer is responsible for managing all aspects of the export process of food ingredients and items for the company. He/she will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations at origin and destination ports, track shipments, handle documentation, and coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth import and export operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of international trade regulations.

**Job responsibilities**

1. Ensure compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to import and export regulations, including customs laws, trade agreements, and licensing requirements for food products such as rice, spices, pickles, condiments, dried fruits, fruit based jam, jelly, spreads, etc.

2. Documentation management: Prepare and review export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

3. Coordinate shipments: Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to arrange transportation, track shipments, and manage customs clearance processes.

4. Customs clearance: Liaise with customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance of exported goods, resolve any issues that arise, and address customs inquiries or audits.

5. Coordinate with internal departments: Collaborate with sales, purchasing, finance, and warehouse teams to align export activities with business goals and objectives.

6. Maintain records: Keep comprehensive records of all export transactions, including shipping documents, licenses, and compliance documentation for audit purposes.

7. Stay up-to-date: Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements to ensure compliance and adapt import/export processes accordingly.

7. Problem-solving skills to address issues related to customs clearances, shipping delays, and trade compliance requirements.

8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Required Qualifications**

1. Bachelor's degree in commerce, international trade, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

2. Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in import and export operations, preferably in a similar role.

3. Familiarity with customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.

4. Knowledge of Incoterms, tariff classification, and customs valuation methodologies.

5. Experience in working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers.

6. Proficiency in using import/export software and customs clearance systems.

7. Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.

8. Certification in international trade, customs compliance, or related field is a plus.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
