The Social Media Coordinator will assist in executing the social media strategy by creating and posting content, monitoring performance, and engaging with the audience across all social media platforms. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, along with a passion for social media and an understanding of online engagement trends.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Content Creation & Posting**:
- Develop and post engaging social media content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and TikTok.
- Assist in creating graphics, videos, and written content aligned with brand voice and social media calendar.
- Schedule and publish posts through social media management tools, ensuring timely and accurate postings.
- **Community Engagement**:
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions, responding to followers in a positive and brand-appropriate manner.
- Actively engage with the online community to foster relationships and build brand loyalty.
- Identify and engage with brand advocates, and followers to increase audience reach.
- **Analytics & Reporting**:
- Track and monitor engagement, reach, and other key performance metrics across social media channels.
- Prepare weekly or monthly performance reports, highlighting insights and areas for improvement.
- Use analytics to help adjust content strategies and optimize engagement.
- **Trend Research & Competitor Analysis**:
- Stay informed about the latest social media trends, tools, and emerging platforms.
- Conduct competitor research to identify opportunities and gain insights on industry trends.
- Make recommendations for new content types, hashtags, and platforms based on findings.
- **Campaign Support**:
- Assist in executing social media campaigns, including product launches, special events, and influencer collaborations.
- Coordinate with other marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency and timely content delivery.
- Contribute creative ideas for social media campaigns and promotional efforts.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (or relevant experience).
- Proven experience in social media, ideally as a coordinator, assistant, or intern.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Whatsapp, and TikTok.
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
- Basic graphic design skills (experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
- **Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.**
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with video creation or editing (e.g., for Instagram Reels or TikTok).
- Understanding of SEO and content marketing.
- Basic knowledge of paid social media ads and boosting posts.
