**Job Title**: Staff Nurse - Cancer Screening Camp
**Location**: Samastipur, Sitamarhi
**Reports To**: Camp Director / Medical Officer / Camp Manager
- **Work Conditions**:
- Will be required to live on-site during the camp period (if applicable).
- Shift work including evenings and weekends.
- Field-based role, may require working in rural or underserved areas.
- May involve long hours, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors.
- Travel and accommodation may be provided.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in setting up the screening area and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
- Conduct vital signs assessment (BP, temperature, pulse, etc.).
- Take patient history relevant to cancer risk factors and symptoms.
- Assist in clinical breast exams, oral cavity examinations, and visual inspections (VIA for cervical cancer, if trained).
- Provide patient education on cancer prevention, screening, and follow-up care.
- Support doctors and specialists during screening procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide first aid and basic medical care as required.
- Ensure proper handling and labeling of samples (e.g., Pap smears, biopsies, if collected).
- Participate in health education activities and community engagement if needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and treat patients with dignity and respect.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Registered Nurse (GNM/B.Sc Nursing) with valid nursing license.
- Prior experience in community health, cancer screening, or similar outreach programs is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of common cancers and screening protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse populations.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and culturally sensitive.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
