The F&B Cashier is responsible for efficiently handling all cash and card transactions at the hospital canteen, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring excellent customer service for patients, hospital staff, and visitors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Cashiering & POS Operations**:
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and digital payments.
- Ensure correct billing of all items and issue receipts to customers.
- **Customer Service**:
- Greet customers warmly and answer queries related to menu items and pricing.
- Handle complaints or direct them to the supervisor appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and orderly cashier station.
- **Daily Cash Handling & Reporting**:
- Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Prepare daily cash reports and hand over to supervisor or accounts team.
- Report any discrepancies in billing or cash handling immediately.
- **Support Canteen Operations**:
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the canteen area.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure prompt service.
- Monitor inventory of items like disposable cutlery and packaging.
- **Compliance & Hygiene**:
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards as per hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Adhere to hospital protocols for cleanliness and infection control.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- **Education**: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of cashiering experience in a food service or hospitality environment (hospital canteen experience is a plus).
- **Skills**:
- Basic math and computer literacy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Honesty, reliability, and attention to detail.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
