**Job Description: Economics Teacher (Cambridge Syllabus)**

**Location**: Shollinganallur, Chennai
**Position**: Full-time
**Experience Required**: Preferably 2-3 years of teaching experience in the Cambridge IGCSE or A-Level syllabus
**Educational Qualification**: Master’s degree in Economics or related field
**Joining Requirement**: Immediate

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Economics and Business Studies for IGCSE and A-Level students, following the Cambridge curriculum.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Evaluate and assess students’ progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Prepare students for Cambridge examinations, ensuring they understand the syllabus requirements and develop exam techniques.
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of economic concepts among students.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall academic and extracurricular programs of the school.
- Participate in professional development sessions and stay updated with changes in the Cambridge curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their best.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Economics or a related discipline.
- Teaching qualification, such as B.Ed. or equivalent, is preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in the Cambridge IGCSE or A-Level syllabus (freshers with a passion for teaching Cambridge curriculum are also encouraged to apply).
- Strong knowledge of Economics concepts and the ability to simplify complex ideas for students.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using modern teaching tools and technology to enhance student learning.
- A student-centric approach with a commitment to fostering academic and personal growth.
