Position: Book Formatter

Location: On-Site (Bengaluru)

Type: Full-Time

**Responsibilities**:

- Format and layout manuscripts for print (paperback/hardcover) and digital (eBooks) editions.
- Ensure compliance with various publishing standards (e.g., IngramSpark, KDP, EPUB).
- Collaborate with authors and editors to maintain consistency in style, fonts, and formatting elements.
- Optimize content for readability and visual appeal across devices and platforms.
- Resolve formatting issues, such as line breaks, orphan/widow lines, and page alignment.
- Convert and validate files in formats like PDF, EPUB, MOBI, etc.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in book design and formatting tools.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in formatting books for print and digital platforms (portfolio required).
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and eBook formatting software.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards for print and digital publications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Should bring their own LAPTOP to work
- Understanding of typography, page composition, and design principles.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards for digital publications is a plus.

Time Management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Efficient workflow and strong organizational skills.

Expected Start Date: Immediate
- Location: Work from our Bangalore office.

This is a full time position. Moonlighting, part-time working or freelancing is strictly not allowed. Work from home (WFH) is NOT available for this role.
