Job Description

Provide strategic legal advice on various business matters.Handle all types of litigation and arbitration relating to the company.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance sector.Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts.Advise on potential legal risks and suggest mitigation measures.Liaise with external legal counsel as needed.Provide training to the company's staff on legal matters.Manage a team of legal professionals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Head Legal' should have:

Candidate must have leadership experience and should have directly dealth with the boardA degree in Law from a recognized university.Proven experience in handling legal matters in the insurance industry.Strong knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead a team of legal professionals.Solid understanding of commercial contracts and corporate law.
