Responsibilities:

Coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phasesManage the project within budgetPlan project requirements and resources, including the sourcing of subcontract elements, etc.React promptly and effectively to changing client and product needsAnticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actionsProduce deliverables on-time to customer requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessaryDefine the customer specification into either a departmental action or subcontractor orderAccurately cost any changes in specificationsEffectively analyse customer and internal changes, including feasibility studyProduce clear, focused and understandable explanations for change requestsTrack customer changesRaise timely and correct purchase requisitions on Standard Analyses: Purchasing Information System (SAP)Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEAs), Quality history reviews, robustness studies, etcManage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processesTrack tasks against the project timing planAssist with design verification and sign off reportingApply specific technical skills as required to support the customer or colleaguesProactively seek out opportunities for new or repeat businessWrite proposals and reports with all necessary backup materialDevelop innovative solutions to unique problems· Develop and maintain expertiseKeep up with current and developing engineering trendsUndertake special projects as requiredContribute to continuous improvement activitiesQuality control of work by appropriate reviewsSupport and lead process improvement activitiesWrite reports and present progress at project meetings and to clientsEstimate budgets and manpower required for projectsAchieve goals within budgetConduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trendsPlan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presentedManage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Produce written reports and make presentationsUndertake continuous training and developmentPerform root cause analysis and resolve problemsIndependently determine approach and assigned task
