Major Responsibilities Use machine learning, data mining and statistical techniques to create new, scalable solutions for business problemsAnalyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of comapny’s historical business data to help automate and optimize key processesDesign, develop and evaluate highly innovative models for predictive learningEstablish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementationResearch and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches

Basic Qualifications

An MS/PhD in CS, Machine Learning, Operational research, Statistics or in a highly quantitative field. PhD strongly preferred.5+ years of industrial experience in predictive modeling and analysis, predictive software developmentStrong Problem solving abilityGood skills with Java or C++, Perl/Python (or similar scripting language)Experience in using R, Matlab, or any other statistical softwareExperience in mentoring junior team members, and guiding them on machine learning and data modeling applicationsStrong communication and data presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of industrial experience in predictive modeling and analysis, predictive software developmentExperience handling gigabyte and terabyte size datasetsExperience working with retail or e-commerce dataExperience working with distributed systems and grid computingPublications or presentation in recognized Machine Learning and Data Mining journals/conferences
