Job Description Company Overview Phronetic.ai is a new AI business venture of Infibeam Avenues, one of the publicly listed fintech companies in India. This division is formed to build AI applications catering to large enterprises and governments across different domains. Operating as a startup within the company, this team works closely with several academic research groups to bring in the latest research & development to the market. Join our core team as we pioneer in building bespoke AI models and robust data pipelines, all under the mentorship of renowned industry & academic experts. This role is a remarkable opportunity to delve into the realm of distributed training for large AI models, tackling real-world AI applications. Your focus will be at the forefront of AI research, specializing in multimodal representation learning, advanced document understanding, development of intelligent AI agents, and the cutting-edge domain of multi-modal generative AI. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who thrive on self-motivation and excel in first-principles thinking. In the ever-evolving world of AI, brimming with daily innovations, we seek individuals adept at swiftly navigating through solutions and conquering challenges with zeal. Responsibilities As a machine learning scientist on the team, you will: - Be responsible for driving cutting edge research projects in NLP and Computer Vision - Leverage state of the art techniques to design and implement innovative solutions - Document and communicate thought process, technical findings and evaluation results - Implement and fine tune state of the art foundational models (deep learning or classical ML models) - Collaborate with ML engineers, designers, software engineers, editorial team and product managers in delivering high impact ML solutions - Mentor and guide junior engineers and scientists Required Qualifications - Bachelors or Masters in AI/ML, Computer Science, Statistics or other relevant fields with 5+ years of AI/ML experience for Bachelors and 2+ years for Masters - Depth of knowledge in Natural Language Processing and/or Computer Vision - Industry experience in using TensorFlow or PyTorch to implement or finetune multimodal deep learning models - Strong understanding of statistics, linear algebra, probability theory, and numerical optimization - Strong programming skills in Python preferably in a production environment - Proven experience in defining problems from real world scenarios (often ambiguous) and implementing creative solutions Preferred Qualifications - Proven track record of publishing papers is a plus - A PhD in the relevant fields
