Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Quality Engineer to ensure that products meet customer expectations and comply with quality standards throughout the production lifecycle. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality assurance standards, procedures, and inspection processes for products.
Conduct product testing, validation, and verification to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
Analyse quality data and identify trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues at the root cause level.
Participate in product design reviews to ensure quality requirements are integrated into product development.
Conduct supplier audits and ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications.
Maintain and update quality documentation, including FMEA, PPAP, control plans, and inspection reports.
Collaborate with customers to address complaints, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and maintain customer satisfaction.
Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards and regulatory requirements.
Train production teams on quality control methods, standards, and best practices.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or product development environment.
Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent).
Experience in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and statistical quality tools.
Skills Required:
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, 8D).
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is an added advantage.
