Their operations emphasize strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, and compliance, indicating a mature and process-driven FMCG setup.Job DescriptionThe Procurement head will be responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and packing material essential for household cleaning products manufacturing. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, an ability to coordinate across departments and vendors, and a sound understanding of cost optimization in an FMCG environment. The role will be based in Kolkata and report directly to the Head of Department.Strong Procurement Expertise: Sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials.Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost competitiveness.Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization: Market analysis, price benchmarking, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating with production, quality, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.Analytical & Reporting: Tracking procurement KPIs, preparing MIS reports, and using data for decision-making.Compliance & Documentation: Procurement SOPs, audit requirements, and maintaining accurate records.The Successful Applicant Degree. MBA will be highly preferred.15+ years of experience in procurement of RM & FG packaging material in FMCG/Chemical industryStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsAnalytical mindset with ability to work on cost optimization and budget controlsExperience working in fast-paced, high-volume environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesProven track record of driving process improvements and cost efficiencies
