Senior Associate – Banking & Finance

Location:

Delhi | On-site

Experience Required:

2 to 6 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)

About the Role:

We are looking to onboard a dynamic Senior Associate with robust experience in Banking & Finance to join a reputed law firm in its Delhi office. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-value, complex financial transactions, supporting a seasoned leadership team with deep sectoral expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of financing documentation including loan agreements, security documents, debenture trust deeds, and inter-creditor arrangements.

Advising lenders, borrowers, and financial institutions on domestic and cross-border financing matters.

Providing strategic regulatory advice under RBI, FEMA, and financial sector norms.

Managing end-to-end execution of financing transactions, including diligence and closing.

Liaising with stakeholders across lenders, banks, NBFCs, and corporates.

Mentoring junior team members and taking ownership of workstreams with minimal supervision.

Staying updated with evolving legal and regulatory frameworks in the financial services sector.

Candidate Profile:

LL.B. from a recognized law school in India; additional qualifications (e.g., CS or LL.M.) are a plus.

2–6 years of hands-on experience in a top-tier or well-regarded law firm's Banking & Finance team.

Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a clear understanding of commercial considerations.

Deep knowledge of banking regulations, RBI circulars, ECB frameworks, and security structuring.

Ability to manage multiple transactions efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
