Job Description

Manage and oversee fabrication activities including welding, cutting, and bending operations on the shop floor.Lead, guide, and mentor welders and fabricators by imparting technical expertise and ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication and welding challenges effectively in a fast-paced production environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects, with a practical understanding of related manufacturing processes like injection molding.Ensure that all fabrication work meets design specifications, quality standards, and production deadlines.Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing fabrication workflows and enhancing team productivity.Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to fabrication processes, tools, and techniques.Gradually take on leadership responsibilities, including team coordination and project management.

The Successful Applicant

Engineering graduate from reputed institutes.Proven experience in fabrication engineering with strong practical exposure to welding, cutting, and bending on the shop floor.Solid understanding of fabrication workflows and machinery involved in manufacturing.Good communication skills with the ability to effectively train and mentor shop floor teams.Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to handling technical challenges.Experience or basic knowledge of related manufacturing processes such as injection molding is a plus.Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Ambitious to grow into a team leadership or project management role.
