Job Description

Lead the end-to-end HR function for a flagship plant or a cluster of manufacturing locations, managing large blue- and white-collar workforces.Act as a key partner to plant leadership in aligning HR initiatives with business outcomes in productivity, safety, and people development.Own the Industrial Relations (IR) agenda, manage union relationships, and lead long-term settlement negotiations independently.Ensure 100% compliance with statutory and labor laws; proactively identify and mitigate IR risks.Drive employee engagement, shopfloor culture, and grievance redressal mechanisms.Manage workforce planning, skill building, and deployment in alignment with operational requirements.Collaborate with corporate HR CoEs on talent, performance, learning, and digital HR rollouts.Coach and manage a plant HR team to ensure operational excellence and strong internal stakeholder management.

The Successful Applicant

15-30 years of HR experience in manufacturing setups, including leadership roles at large or multi-plant sites.Deep expertise in Industrial Relations - including independently handling highly unionized environments and leading long-term wage settlements.Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance frameworks, and statutory regulations relevant to factory operations.Demonstrated success in balancing strategic HR priorities with operational execution.Experience in driving transformation, change management, and digital HR adoption on the shopfloor.Postgraduate degree in HR/IR/Personnel Management from a reputed institute is preferred.High on resilience, maturity, negotiation skills, and people-centric leadership.
