Job Description

Develop and implement compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in private banking.Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, risk management, and operational matters.Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations affecting the financial services industry.Manage legal documentation and oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop policies and procedures that align with legal standards.Supervise and lead internal compliance audits and investigations.Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external legal advisors.Ensure the organisation's activities in Mumbai comply with both local and international legal standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)should have:

A law degree from a recognised institution with a focus on corporate or financial law.Proven experience in legal and compliance roles within the financial services sector, preferably in private banking.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance practices.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to handle complex legal matters.Leadership qualities and the ability to manage teams effectively.Attention to detail and a strategic mindset for problem-solving.
