Only candidates based out of Chennai or willing to relocate applyOnly candidates fluent in Tamil with more than 18+ yrs. of experience applyAbout Our ClientThe organization is a leading player in the manufacturing sector, offering a diversified portfolio of goods and services.Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for the following:Oversee all legal operations, including compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Draft, vet, and negotiate high-value contracts, agreements with vendors, contractors, EPC partners, distributors, etc.Provide legal counsel to management on matters related to the property and building materials industries.Manage and resolve disputes, liase with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise on their potential impact on the company.Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company's interests.Lead and mentor the legal team across corporate and manufacturing units.Advise top management on legal issues and ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory frameworks.The Successful ApplicantAn ideal candidate will have:A degree in law from a recognised institution with 18+ yrs. of experience with some years purely in a manufacturing setup.Fluency in Tamil(verbal and written) is critical. Knowledge of Telugu and Hindi would be a plus.Open to travel, as and when required.In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.Strong contract negotiation and dispute resolution skills.The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide sound legal advice.Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
