Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer,
with 3+ years of experience to join our UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) development team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in embedded systems, real-time software development, and integration
for drone platforms. You will work closely with hardware, flight control, and
AI teams to build intelligent, mission-critical drone solutions for commercial
and defence applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain embedded firmware for drone components including flight controllers, ESCs, and peripheral sensors.
Integrate IMUs, GPS, magnetometers, barometers, cameras, and other onboard sensors using protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN.
Interface with flight stacks such aa PX4. ArduPilot, or custom firmware for mission execution.
Utilize MAVLink and other communication protocols for telemetry and command control.
Collaborate with AI and autonomy teams to support onboard AI compute modules (e.g., Jetson, Raspberry Pi) through serial communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
Strong understanding of microcontrollers and hardware-software interaction.
Proficiency with embedded interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, GPIO, PWM.
Experience with RTOS or real-time software development.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to read schematics and work closely with hardware engineers.

Preferred:
Exposure to HIL/SITL simulation tools like Gazebo.
Knowledge of power systems and battery management in UAVs.
Experience with defence or aerospace standards is a plus.
