Job Description Summary role description: Hiring for a Principal System Engineer - CNS for the global aerospace s defence leader. Role details: Title/Designation:Principal System Engineer - CNS Location:Bengaluru Role & responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of Systems Engineers in GNSS-based avionics system development. Drive verification and validation of DAL A avionics products in the CNS domain. Define and manage system requirements from high-level customer needs to detailed design. Develop and implement test strategies, validation tests, and common supporting tools. Ensure compliance with certification standards and produce system-level artifacts. Collaborate with architects, senior developers, and product teams on scalable and sustainable solutions. Contribute to organizational initiatives such as talent development, performance management, and strategic roadmap execution. Candidate requirements: Master’s degree in GNSS, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in GNSS system design, development, and verification. Knowledge of multiple GNSS constellations (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, NAVIC, QZSS, Compass) and augmentation systems (SBAS, GBAS, GAGAN, RAIM). Strong understanding of aerospace navigation principles – positioning, state estimation, and tracking. Hands-on experience with GNSS hardware tools (simulators, receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes). Familiarity with aviation standards: DO-178 B/C, ARP-4754A, DO-226, DO-260, DO- 317. Proficiency in C++ programming, scripting, and RTOS concepts (VxWorks, WindRiver). Experience in system requirements elicitation, validation, and certification activities. Knowledge of RFI detection/mitigation, inertial navigation, and sensor fusion. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience leading teams.
