Competitive SalaryPF and Gratuity IncludedAbout Our ClientSouth Korean multinational conglomerate headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.Job Description[Major Responsibilities]Manage SQL Server instances, including installation, configuration, patching, database creation, backups and restoresEnsure high availability, scalability, and performance of database serversMonitor SQL Server health and performance using tools different Performance Monitor, Extended Events, DMVsExpert in designing SQL Servers indexes, Statistics and perform database maintenance tasksExpert in Database Recovery ProcessExpert in troubleshooting SQL Servers errors and, blocking, deadlocks, slow performance, high resource utilization, network and storage issuesExpert in analyzing the Execution Plans, and refactoring the queries to optimize for high performanceExpert in plan and implement database capacity upgrades, scaling and migration to meet growing business needsManage user access, permissions and roles, implement Audit process and compliances as per the requirementsReview Database code of SQL Server Developers and guide them for query tuning optimization[Requirement]Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 9 years of experience in MS SQL Server Database administrationIn-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, internals, and performance tuning techniquesStrong T-SQL Skills for query optimizations and performanceExperience with at least SQL Server versions from SQL Server 2022/2019/2016/2014Strong knowledge of Windows Failover Cluster Server and SQL Server AlwaysOnExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentCertification on MS SQL Server AdminsitrationThe Successful ApplicantNice to Have:Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldKnowledge of an additional DBMS product like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc is an advantageExperience with cloud platforms like Azure will be plusExperience in SSIS/SSRS/SSAS will be plusExperience with scripting languages such as PowerShell/PythonFamiliarity with agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence
