Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Head – Manufacturing to oversee end-to-end plant operations, ensuring high productivity, quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing cross-functional teams, optimising resources, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage overall plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.

Develop and implement production plans to meet delivery schedules, cost targets, and quality benchmarks.

Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.

Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, quality, downtime, and resource utilization.

Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow.

Maintain strict adherence to budgets and control operational costs.

Build and lead a high-performing team, providing training, mentoring, and succession planning.

Collaborate with top management to align plant operations with strategic business goals.

Ensure effective maintenance schedules for machinery to minimize downtime and maximize asset life.

Handle audits (internal and external) and ensure compliance with ISO, OHSAS, or other relevant certifications.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related discipline.

MBA in Operations / Industrial Management (preferred).

Minimum 12–18 years of experience in a manufacturing setup, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Skills Required:

Strong leadership and people management skills.

In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean practices, and quality systems.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.

Strong analytical and financial acumen to manage plant budgets and cost control.

Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and manage large teams effectively.
