Job Summary: Northern Trust is looking to recruit professionals for its Bangalore Centre. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering regulatory and management reporting for Northern Trust's Credit Risk function, with a strong focus on credit risk metrics and regulatorypliance and will work closely with various teams and senior management to ensurepliance with regulatory requirements and to implement effective risk management practice and demonstrate strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities within a global financial institution. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in credit risk analytics, regulatory frameworks, and reporting tools, looking to grow within a global financial institution. Job title: Consultant Location: Bangalore/Pune Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience Major Duties • Lead end to end the delivery of key regulatory and management reports for Northern Trust's Credit risk management. • Demonstrate strong understanding of credit portfolio metrics including watchlist exposures, Non-performing loans (NPLs), leveraged loans, charge offs, recoveries, etc. • Lead and oversee reporting for FED and SEC regulatory filings such as Y-14 M/Q, RC-O schedules, FFIEC 101, CECL, IFRS 9, etc. • Support Credit risk appetite metrics, with annual re-evaluation of methodologies. • Provide strategic insights through driver analysis and present findings to senior leadership. • Facilitate and support strong controls over data, reports, and analysis, including automation, reconciliation and testing. • Drive documentation standards, procedures, and control mechanisms to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting. • Act as a key liaison with global stakeholders including first and second lines of defense, internal audit, andpliance teams. • Use tools such as Business Objects, Power BI, and Excel to automate and visualize reporting outputs. • Mentor junior analysts and consultants, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and continuous improvement. • Lead initiatives to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual dependencies and implement best practices across the reporting lifecycle. • Support internal audit inquiries and ad-hoc analytical requests with precision and timeliness. Qualification: • Postgraduate in Finance or MBA with relevant industry experience Skills Required: • Proven track record in credit risk reporting and have 6-8 years of experience in credit risk reporting, regulatorypliance, or financial analytics. • Deep understanding of credit risk banking, regulatory reporting, lending products, securities, derivatives, repo-style transactions, securitization etc. • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence oues and drive strategic initiatives. • Strong written and verbalmunication skills with demonstrated success challenging and influencing oues. • Experience with any of the industry products - SAP Business Object, SQL, Cognos, Power BI etc., will be an added advantage. • Strong data, analytical, and problem-solving skills and strong hands-on experience with advanced excel.
