Looking for IMMEDIATE JOINERSRole - QA Test Engineer - Manual and AutomationTester role performing Manual and Automation testing activities.Designation - Engineer - TestingExperience (in years) - 2-7 yearsEducation - Masters/Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information science, Physics, Math or any other related discipline.Essential skillsExperience with testing management tools like Jira, HP/Open Text ALM, IBM Rational, XRay, Zephyr, etcExperienced in multiple complete software release cyclesUnderstanding of Agile/iterative software development methodologies and Testing in AgileGood verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed teamDesired skillsTest-driven development experienceExperience with software development and/or Software TestingExperience in conducting testing in the Life science domain - Clinical systemsKnowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV) Or Computer Software Assurance (CSA) is a plusCertifications, if anyISTQB certifications/Agile certificationSummaryThe QA Test Engineer performs manual and/or automated testing to ensure Sycamore software products meet regulatory and functional requirements. The role involves designing test cases, executing test plans, and documenting results.Roles & Responsibilities● Develop and execute manual and/or automated test cases for software applications.● Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.● Collaborate with developers, services, and stakeholders to understand requirements and validate application functionality.● Perform defect tracking and reporting using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Bugzilla.● Execute SQL queries to validate database integrity.● Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.● Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and execution logs.● Conduct regression testing to ensure software stability and reliability.● Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in testing and recommend process improvements.● Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide testability and product quality feedback.● Document test plans, test cases and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions.Essential Experience● Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.● Excellent analysis skills with tenacious attention to detail.● Agile Testing, Testing Lifecycle knowledge● Working with any Test Management Tools like HP ALM, Jira , Xray, Zephyr , IBM RationalDesired Experience● Software development experience● Understanding of clinical trial processes● Knowledge of File storage solutions & Cloud concepts is a plus
