Role Description We are seeking a freelance FPGA Engineer to design and develop FPGA-based solutions for advanced embedded and industrial control systems. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that integrate real-time embedded systems , control architectures , and high-performance hardware . The ideal candidate is skilled in FPGA design , embedded software , and system-level testing , with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and test FPGA-based embedded control and communication systems . Use Xilinx , Intel (Altera) , or equivalent FPGA toolchains (e.g., Vivado , Quartus , ModelSim ) to simulate and optimize performance. Develop and integrate FPGAs with microcontrollers , x86 , and ARM-based processors for real-time applications. Contribute to the development of technical reports , prototypes , and system documentation . Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver deployable solutions. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science , Electrical Engineering , or a related field. 5+ years of professional FPGA development experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s degree). Strong expertise in Verilog and/or VHDL for FPGA design and simulation. Hands-on experience with Xilinx and/or Intel (Altera) FPGA platforms. Proficiency in C/C++ , Python , and real-time embedded software development . Familiarity with x86 or ARM architectures and real-time control systems. Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
