At ThreatXIntel, we continuously monitor and test digital environments to identify vulnerabilities proactively, allowing our clients to focus on growing their business with peace of mind.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a freelance FPGA Engineer to design and develop FPGA-based solutions for advanced embedded and industrial control systems. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that integrate real-time embedded systems, control architectures, and high-performance hardware.The ideal candidate is skilled in FPGA design, embedded software, and system-level testing, with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and test FPGA-based embedded control and communication systems.Use Xilinx, Intel (Altera), or equivalent FPGA toolchains (e.g., Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim) to simulate and optimize performance.Develop and integrate FPGAs with microcontrollers, x86, and ARM-based processors for real-time applications.Contribute to the development of technical reports, prototypes, and system documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver deployable solutions.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of professional FPGA development experience (or 2+ years with a Master’s degree).Strong expertise in Verilog and/or VHDL for FPGA design and simulation.Hands-on experience with Xilinx and/or Intel (Altera) FPGA platforms.Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and real-time embedded software development.Familiarity with x86 or ARM architectures and real-time control systems.Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
