Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager located in Chennai. This role involves coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The position also requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and vendors to finalize designs and specifications.
Review and approve technical drawings, material specifications, and construction plans.
Oversee civil works, structural construction, and interior fit-outs to ensure compliance with project objectives and quality standards.
Team Management:
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Conduct regular progress meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to construction standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct site inspections and audits to verify quality and workmanship.
Address any issues or deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
Budgeting & Cost Management:
Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Manage procurement and negotiate with vendors to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Approve invoices, track payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project expectations.
Prepare detailed project reports and present them to senior management.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure all safety protocols are enforced on-site to minimize hazards.
Good knowledge on high-risk project and preparing documents
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Project Management or Construction Management is a plus.
Experience:
8–10 years of experience in managing civil and interior projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale projects within deadlines and budgets.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with sustainability and green building practices.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions.

Timely delivery of projects.
Budget adherence.
Quality and safety compliance.
Client satisfaction and feedback.
Team performance and retention.
Work Environment:
On-site and office-based work depending on project requirements.
Travel: Frequent site visits and travel to project locations may be required
