Release Train Engineer RTE SAFe Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer RTE with extensive experience in software engineering and a deep understanding of SAFe practices The RTE will be a key facilitator for Agile Release Trains ARTs ensuring alignment between strategic goals and program execution 10 years in software engineering and Agile methodologies Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer in a SAFe environment Solid grasp of SAFe principles PI Planning and backlog management Excellent facilitation coaching and mentoring abilities Proficient in generating and analyzing performance metrics Key Responsibilities Agile Leadership Take full accountability for the success of the ART you lead Guide and mentor teams in SAFe principles and practices Coach team members and stakeholders to enhance productivity Metrics Reporting Generate and analyze Inspect and Adapt metrics for scrum teams Measure progress and ensure healthy product backlogs Support Product Owners Collaborate with product owners in requirements gathering Ensure features are prioritized refined and ready for development Facilitation Coordination Facilitate ART ceremonies like PI Planning ART Sync and PI Demos Coordinate efforts across teams to ensure effective planning and execution Risk Dependency Management Identify and manage risks facilitating discussions to resolve impediments Ensure dependencies are updated and communicated effectively Training Workshops Conduct training sessions on SAFe practices and Agile methodologies Participate in guilds focused on continuous improvement Continuous Improvement Help teams adopt industry best practices related to SAFe Facilitate retrospectives for actionable insights Preparation Logistics Ensure readiness for PI events verifying all necessary elements Manage logistics and verify alignment of delivery plans Qualifications & Experience 10 years in software engineering and Agile methodologies Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer in a SAFe environment Skills Solid grasp of SAFe principles PI Planning and backlog management Excellent facilitation coaching and mentoring abilities Proficient in generating and analyzing performance metrics Technical Proficiency Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops ADO or similar project management tools Ability to utilize data for decisionmaking and process improvement Communication Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders Certifications SAFe Release Train Engineer certification preferred Additional Agile certifications eg CSM CSPO are a plus
