Release Train Engineer RTE SAFe Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer RTE with extensive experience in software engineering and a deep understanding of SAFe practices The RTE will be a key facilitator for Agile Release Trains ARTs ensuring alignment between strategic goals and program execution10 years in software engineering and Agile methodologiesProven experience as a Release Train Engineer in a SAFe environmentSolid grasp of SAFe principles PI Planning and backlog managementExcellent facilitation coaching and mentoring abilitiesProficient in generating and analyzing performance metrics Key Responsibilities Agile LeadershipTake full accountability for the success of the ART you leadGuide and mentor teams in SAFe principles and practicesCoach team members and stakeholders to enhance productivityMetrics ReportingGenerate and analyze Inspect and Adapt metrics for scrum teamsMeasure progress and ensure healthy product backlogsSupport Product OwnersCollaborate with product owners in requirements gatheringEnsure features are prioritized refined and ready for developmentFacilitation CoordinationFacilitate ART ceremonies like PI Planning ART Sync and PI DemosCoordinate efforts across teams to ensure effective planning and executionRisk Dependency ManagementIdentify and manage risks facilitating discussions to resolve impedimentsEnsure dependencies are updated and communicated effectivelyTraining WorkshopsConduct training sessions on SAFe practices and Agile methodologiesParticipate in guilds focused on continuous improvementContinuous ImprovementHelp teams adopt industry best practices related to SAFeFacilitate retrospectives for actionable insightsPreparation LogisticsEnsure readiness for PI events verifying all necessary elementsManage logistics and verify alignment of delivery plansQualifications & Experience10 years in software engineering and Agile methodologiesProven experience as a Release Train Engineer in a SAFe environmentSkillsSolid grasp of SAFe principles PI Planning and backlog managementExcellent facilitation coaching and mentoring abilitiesProficient in generating and analyzing performance metricsTechnical ProficiencyFamiliarity with Azure DevOps ADO or similar project management toolsAbility to utilize data for decisionmaking and process improvementCommunicationStrong interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholdersCertificationsSAFe Release Train Engineer certification preferredAdditional Agile certifications eg CSM CSPO are a plus
