Job Description: Jewelry Design ManagerLocation: Bangalore / JaipurJob Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced and innovative Jewellery Design Manager with specialisedexpertise in Silver, Gold and lab-grown diamonds. The ideal candidate will have a deepunderstanding of the design and production of high-quality jewellery using these materials,and be proficient in creating laser cut personalised jewellery too. A solid grasp ofCorelDRAW and laser cutting techniques is essential for this role. As a key leader in ourdesign team, you will be responsible for conceptualising and managing the development ofbespoke jewellery collections that reflect our brand’s commitment to excellence andinnovation.Key Responsibilities:Personalized Jewellery:Design Management:- Create and oversee the development of personalised jewellery designs using Corel Drawand laser cutting technology.- Ensure that the designs meet the highest standards of quality and precision.Design Production:- Manage the daily volume of designs sent for manufacturing, ensuring that targets are metconsistently.- Coordinate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure seamless transition from designto production.Error Reduction & Quality Control:- Identify and reduce errors in design through rigorous review processes.- Implement strategies and tools to minimise mistakes and improve overall design accuracy.Process Improvement:- Continuously evaluate and enhance design processes to increase efficiency andeffectiveness.- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to integrate newtechniques and tools.Coordination & Communication:- Seamless coordination with the manufacturing team to address any design-related issuespromptly.- Foster effective communication between design and production departments to ensurealignment and smooth operations.Target Achievement:- Meet and exceed weekly design targets and production deadlines.- Prepare and plan for peak season orders to ensure timely fulfilment and optimal resourceallocation.Design Expertise: Lead the creation of exquisite jewellery collections featuring Silver, Goldand Lab-grown diamonds. Ensure that designs are not only visually stunning but alsotechnically feasible and aligned with market trends.Project Management: Manage design projects from initial concept through to finalproduction, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Coordinate withproduction teams to resolve any design or technical issues.Trend Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, particularly in Silver, Gold andLab-grown diamonds, and incorporate these insights into the design process. Research andimplement new techniques and materials to keep our collections innovative and appealing.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, providing guidance andsupport to foster a creative and collaborative work environment. Conduct regular designreviews and provide constructive feedback.Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and production departments to ensurethat designs align with brand strategies and customer needs. Participate in cross-functionalmeetings to contribute design expertise and insights.Quality Control: Oversee the prototyping and sampling processes to ensure that designsmeet the highest standards of quality. Address and resolve any issues that arise duringproduction.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design or a related field. Advanced certificationsor a Master’s degree in Jewelry Design or a related area are advantageous.Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in jewellery design with a focus on Silver,Gold and Lab-grown diamonds. At least 3 years of managerial experience with a proventrack record in creating personalised jewellery.Skills:- In-depth understanding of Silver, Gold and Lab-grown diamonds, including their propertiesand market trends.- Proficiency in CorelDRAW for jewellery design and detailed artwork.- Extensive knowledge of laser cutting techniques and their application in jewellery design.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Attributes:- Passion for jewellery design and an innovative mindset.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Commitment to delivering high-quality jewellery pieces.
