Job Summary:

The Franchise Head – Retail is responsible for the strategic growth, operational efficiency, and brand consistency of the retail franchise network. This role will lead franchise acquisition, onboarding, and relationship management, ensuring all franchise partners uphold the brand's standards while achieving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Franchise Network Expansion:

  • Identify and evaluate potential franchisees aligned with the brand’s vision and retail model.
  • Develop and implement strategies for retail franchise expansion across key markets.
  • Collaborate with real estate and legal teams for site selection and agreement finalization.

Franchise Partner Engagement:

  • Act as a strategic advisor and primary point of contact for franchise partners.
  • Conduct regular review meetings, business updates, and training sessions.
  • Ensure long-term franchisee satisfaction and retention.

Franchise Operations Oversight:

  • Ensure on-time on-boarding and go-live for the franchises post signing by working with different cross functional teams
  • Monitor and analyze store performance KPIs (sales, footfall, conversion, ATV, etc.).
  • Guide franchisees on profitability, inventory optimization, and cost control.
  • Set and review targets, and develop business improvement plans.
  • Ensure franchise stores maintain high operational standards, including visual merchandising, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Conduct regular audits and performance reviews to monitor compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Drive implementation of SOPs and brand guidelines across the franchise network.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of regional or area franchise managers.
  • Manage the program management team to handle franchise backend and coordination post franchise signing (for hassle free go-live and smooth operations)
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, brand ownership, and customer-centricity.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years of experience in retail/franchise management, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG retail.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and sales strategies.
  • Experience in franchise recruitment, negotiation, and relationship management.
