Purpose of the Position

Deliver innovative and functional interior design solutions for large hospital and medical college projects, leveraging over 10+ years of experience to create healing environments. Focus on designing spaces that enhance patient well-being, ensure infection control through material selection, and integrate seamlessly with architectural and MEPF systems. Coordinate with subject matter experts of clinical and non-clinical services to align designs with operational needs. Preference will be given to candidates with specialization in Healthcare Interior Design or Hospital Design certification.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interior spaces for large hospital and medical college projects, prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEPF consultants, and structural teams to ensure cohesive integration of interior designs with building systems.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts of clinical and non-clinical services in the hospital and medical college to align designs with functional and operational requirements.
  • Select and specify hospital-specific materials that prevent the spread of infection and comply with healthcare standards.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detailing of interior elements, including furniture, fixtures, and finishes, to ensure durability and functionality.
  • Oversee the execution of interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Incorporate evidence-based design principles to create therapeutic and efficient healthcare environments.
  • Preference given to candidates with specialization in Healthcare Interior Design or Hospital Design certification.

Special Skills w.r.t. job (if any)

  • Proficient in AutoDesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant interior design software.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control materials, healthcare design standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with clinical and non-clinical subject matter experts.
  • Expertise in space planning, color theory, and lighting design tailored to healthcare settings.
  • Preference for candidates with Healthcare Interior Design or Hospital Design certification.

Essential Areas/ Factors in which incumbent should have experience

  • More than 10 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on large hospital or healthcare projects.
  • Proven expertise in using AutoDesk Revit for 3D modeling and coordination with architectural and MEPF drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver aesthetically pleasing and functional healthcare interiors, with experience coordinating with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
