Senior Business Analyst / Senior Business Consultant – Energy & UtilitiesLocation:India (Remote)Experience:12+ yearsWe are looking for aSenior Business Analyst / Senior Business Consultantwith deep experience inpower, water, or gas utilities , and a strong background in enabling or delivering digital transformation initiatives. This is a senior, client-facing consulting role focused ondomain expertise, discovery, workshops, early-stage solutioning, and advisory .You will collaborate with solution architects, delivery teams, and leaders to shape industry-aligned solutions for global utility clients.Presales experience is a strong plus but not mandatory.Key Responsibilities1. Domain & Solution AdvisoryBring a strong understanding of utility operations across customer experience, meter-to-cash, field service, outage management, metering, billing & collections, asset operations, and water/gas network operations.Translate industry challenges intostructured business requirements, use cases, and solution componentsacross process, application, integration, and data layers.Work with architects and SMEs to defineto-be process flows , functional designs, and high-level solution architectures.Supporteffort estimation, delivery planning, and resourcingbased on functional scope.Stay updated on digital themes influencing utilities (AMI 2.0, DER, AI/ML, cloud, portals, mobile workforce solutions, etc.).2. Consulting Engagement ExecutionLead or contribute toassessments, discovery phases, roadmap creation, PoCs/accelerators , and similar early-stage consulting engagements.Facilitate client workshops to documentas-is processesand defineto-be journeysaligned with best practices.Convert ambiguous client inputs intoclear and structured requirementsand opportunity narratives.Ensure alignment and continuity between early-stage consulting and downstream delivery teams.3. Presales & Pursuit Support (Nice to Have)Support RFP/RFI responses for utility clients—including domain writeups, solution narratives, and business process flows.Participate in client orals, solution walkthroughs, and executive discussions.Conduct background research on clients, regulatory context, and industry trends to strengthen proposal direction.Collaborate with practice leadership, sales teams, and architects onsolution strategies and proposal structure .Must-Have Qualifications12+ years of total experience , including8+ yearsas a Business Analyst or Senior Consultant inEnergy & Utilities(Power / Water / Gas / Waste).MBA from a Tier-1 institute.Proven ability to abstract client problems and articulate solution options clearly for both business and technical stakeholders.Strong understanding ofSDLC , Agile/Waterfall models, and functional documentation.Familiarity with utility enterprise platforms such asCIS, OMS, MDM, AMI, WMS, GIS, CRM/CX systems , etc.Experience working withglobal teams and international utility clients .Excellent communication skills—especially in writing, structuring, and presenting client-facing content.Why Join Us?You’ll haveroom to take ownershipand lead initiatives within a supportive structure.You will work in an environment that encouragesthoughtful experimentationand practical problem-solving.You canshape how solutions evolveand contribute directly to client impact.You’ll be part of a culture that values trust, clarity, andprofessional autonomy .
