Senior Business Analyst / Senior Business Consultant – Energy & UtilitiesLocation: India (Remote)Experience: 12+ yearsWe are looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Senior Business Consultant with deep experience in power, water, or gas utilities, and a strong background in enabling or delivering digital transformation initiatives. This is a senior, client-facing consulting role focused on domain expertise, discovery, workshops, early-stage solutioning, and advisory.You will collaborate with solution architects, delivery teams, and leaders to shape industry-aligned solutions for global utility clients. Presales experience is a strong plus but not mandatory.Key Responsibilities1. Domain & Solution Advisory- Bring a strong understanding of utility operations across customer experience, meter-to-cash, field service, outage management, metering, billing & collections, asset operations, and water/gas network operations.- Translate industry challenges into structured business requirements, use cases, and solution components across process, application, integration, and data layers.- Work with architects and SMEs to define to-be process flows, functional designs, and high-level solution architectures.- Support effort estimation, delivery planning, and resourcing based on functional scope.- Stay updated on digital themes influencing utilities (AMI 2.0, DER, AI/ML, cloud, portals, mobile workforce solutions, etc.).2. Consulting Engagement Execution- Lead or contribute to assessments, discovery phases, roadmap creation, PoCs/accelerators, and similar early-stage consulting engagements.- Facilitate client workshops to document as-is processes and define to-be journeys aligned with best practices.- Convert ambiguous client inputs into clear and structured requirements and opportunity narratives.- Ensure alignment and continuity between early-stage consulting and downstream delivery teams.3. Presales & Pursuit Support (Nice to Have)- Support RFP/RFI responses for utility clients—including domain writeups, solution narratives, and business process flows.- Participate in client orals, solution walkthroughs, and executive discussions.- Conduct background research on clients, regulatory context, and industry trends to strengthen proposal direction.- Collaborate with practice leadership, sales teams, and architects on solution strategies and proposal structure.Must-Have Qualifications- 12+ years of total experience, including 8+ years as a Business Analyst or Senior Consultant in Energy & Utilities (Power / Water / Gas / Waste).- MBA from a Tier-1 institute.- Proven ability to abstract client problems and articulate solution options clearly for both business and technical stakeholders.- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Waterfall models, and functional documentation.- Familiarity with utility enterprise platforms such as CIS, OMS, MDM, AMI, WMS, GIS, CRM/CX systems, etc.- Experience working with global teams and international utility clients.- Excellent communication skills—especially in writing, structuring, and presenting client-facing content.Why Join Us?- You’ll have room to take ownership and lead initiatives within a supportive structure.- You will work in an environment that encourages thoughtful experimentation and practical problem-solving.- You can shape how solutions evolve and contribute directly to client impact.- You’ll be part of a culture that values trust, clarity, and professional autonomy.
