As we build the next big thing in jewellery retail, we’re looking for visionary talent to shape how jewellery is imagined, designed, and experienced in the digital-first era. As the Lead 3D Designer , you will be at the forefront of driving the digital design vision for the brand. You will lead the creation, optimisation, and management of high-quality 3D jewellery assets that power our virtual try-on, digital catalogues, marketing visuals, and in-store experiences. Beyond hands-on design, you will establish standards, workflows, and mentor a growing team of 3D designers to deliver world-class outputs. This role is perfect for someone who blends artistic flair with technical expertise, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can push the boundaries of how technology and design intersect in luxury retail. Design Leadership Own and drive the 3D design roadmap for digital jewellery assets. Define workflows, pipelines, and quality standards for 3D model creation, rendering, and optimisation. Collaborate with product, tech, and retail teams to integrate 3D assets seamlessly across digital and in-store experiences. Convert complex manufacturing CAD files into high-fidelity, render-ready 3D assets. Lead advanced modelling, texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering for photorealistic jewellery assets. Build, mentor, and manage a team of 3D designers, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence. Provide feedback and ensure consistent visual and technical quality across all outputs. Research and adopt the latest design tools, rendering engines, and immersive technologies. Maintain structured digital asset libraries for scalability and reuse. Partner with cross-functional leaders to continuously evolve design practices. 6–10 years of professional experience in 3D design, preferably in product, jewellery, luxury, or fashion industries. ~ Strong expertise in Blender, Rhino, KeyShot, Maya, 3ds Max, or equivalent 3D software . ~ Deep understanding of CAD-to-mesh workflows, PBR texturing, photorealistic rendering, and real-time optimisation . ~ Proven experience leading design teams and managing end-to-end 3D pipelines. ~ A strong eye for aesthetics, materiality, and fine details. ~ Familiarity with AR/VR platforms, Unity/Unreal Engine, or similar environments. ~ Prior experience in jewellery or luxury product modelling . Exposure to AI-assisted 3D workflows and generative design. Knowledge of interactive 3D (WebGL, glTF, USDZ) formats for digital retail.
