Job Description: Accounts Executive – Dubai Operations
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our Dubai operations team - Marcel Global General Trading FZE . The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate reporting, and provide support for import and export-related activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and knowledge of international trade processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management
Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE financial regulations.
Manage payroll processing and statutory filings such as VAT and other local taxation requirements.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statements and reporting.
2. Import & Export Coordination
Ensure accurate and timely recording of import/export transactions.
Monitor trade documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
Liaise with customs, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with trade regulations.
Track shipment costs and ensure alignment with budgets.
3. Financial Analysis & Reporting
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Provide regular financial reports to the management team.
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
4. Compliance & Audit
Ensure adherence to all local financial and trade regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors for yearly audits and resolve any discrepancies.
5.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with the operations, procurement, and logistics teams to streamline processes.
Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions for trade-related transactions, such as LCs (Letters of Credit).
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within import/export or trading industries.
Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, including VAT and customs procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
Strong understanding of international trade documentation and processes.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
