Job Description: Ansible Automation Developer
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Ansible Automation Developer to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of experience in automation and scripting, with a strong focus on Ansible. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Ansible playbooks and modules to automate various IT tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
Responsibilities:
Ansible Playbook Development: Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
Write well-structured, efficient, and reusable Ansible modules.
Leverage Ansible's powerful features to automate complex tasks, such as network configuration, database setup, and application deployment.
Infrastructure Automation: Automate the provisioning and configuration of servers, networks, and storage devices.
Implement automated deployment pipelines for applications and services.
Manage and maintain infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency and reproducibility.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues with Ansible playbooks and modules.
Analyze and resolve errors in automation scripts.
Identify and implement solutions to improve automation efficiency and reliability.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with Dev Ops engineers, system administrators, and other team members to understand automation requirements.
Work closely with the team to identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Experience:
4-10 years of experience in automation and scripting
Strong proficiency in Ansible, including playbooks, modules, and roles
In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration
Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet or Chef (preferred)
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Certification in Ansible or related technologies
