Junior Art Director

We are seeking a Junior Art Director to join our design team. designing cost-effective, attractive, and safe packaging for commercial products. They will work closely with design and marketing teams to develop packaging ideas that best suit clients' needs. Also, conceptualise, design and create attractive, functional and on-brand packaging based on requirements. You will be responsible for creating visually stunning and functional packaging designs that elevate our brand presence and drive product success.Responsibilities:Collaborating with the marketing and product development teams to understand product requirements, target audience, and brand identity.Conceptualizing and executing creative print design ideas, including visuals for packaging and trade marketingCreating prototypes and mock-ups to test the functionality, aesthetics, and practicality of packaging designs.Presenting ideas, concepts and design solutions to various stakeholders and incorporating feedback into your final designLiaising with suppliers and service providers to ensure proof is of good quality and in line with production specificationsStaying up to date with consumer and market trends for packaging materialsAdhering to regulatory requirements and industry guidelines to ensure compliance with labeling, safety, and product information standards.Requirements:You should have a degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts or related fieldYou have prior experience as a Packaging Designer as well as a strong portfolio of sample projectsYou possess a good knowledge of tools such as Adobe creative suite and 3D design softwareYou are familiar with various packaging materials, production techniques, and printing processesYou have keen eye for detail, strong aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to translate brand identity into visually stunning packaging designs.You have a good understanding of packaging, health and safety regulationsYou possess a strong sense of esthetics and a keen eye for detailYou demonstrate good communication skills and are a strong team playerPreferred:Experience working in an agency environment for Branding and PackagingExperience working with Adobe Creative Suite softwaresThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
