Job Summary:
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) is seeking a skilled and innovative AngularJS UI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known AngularJS practices. This role involves collaborating with UX designers and backend developers to deliver high-quality web applications that enhance user experience and contribute to the Digital India initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
UI Development:
Develop new user-facing features using AngularJS.
Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
Optimize components for maximum performance across a variety of web-capable devices and browsers.
Collaboration:
Work closely with UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic.
Code Quality and Standards:
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Testing and Debugging:
Perform thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality and performance.
Debug and fix issues identified during testing or reported by users.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in AngularJS and front-end development.
Suggest and implement improvements to enhance application efficiency and user experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in front-end development.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
Experience with AngularJS and its core principles.
Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in front-end development or AngularJS are advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of AngularJS and its ecosystem.
Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack.
Design Sensibility:
Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
Ability to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality code.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Understanding of E-Governance:
Familiarity with the Digital India initiative and e-governance frameworks is desirable.
Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
