Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Graphic Designer with specialized expertise in HTML email design to join our creative team in Mumbai on a contractual basis. You will play a crucial role in creating engaging and effective email marketing campaigns, ensuring optimal design and functionality across various email clients and devices.


Core Responsibilities:


Email Design :

  • Designing email templates that are visually appealing, responsive (work well across devices), and aligned with the brand's aesthetic.
  • The email designs should be optimized for various types of marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotions.


HTML & CSS Coding :

  • Writing the code for the emails using HTML and CSS to ensure that they look and function properly across different email clients (like Gmail, Outlook, etc.) and devices (desktop, mobile).
  • Understanding how to structure emails in a way that maximizes compatibility with different email platforms.


Testing & Optimization :

  • Testing the emails on different email platforms and devices to identify rendering issues and ensuring that all the components of the email function as intended (images, links, responsive layout, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting problems related to email rendering and performance.


Collaboration with Marketing Team :

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to understand the campaign’s goals, audience, and desired outcomes.
  • Aligning email design with the broader marketing strategy and best practices for email marketing.


Visual Design :

  • Creating visually engaging email templates that feature compelling graphics, calls to action, and other design elements.
  • Designing in a way that aligns with the company's branding guidelines and style.


Brand Consistency :

  • Ensuring that email designs are consistent with the company’s brand identity, adhering to brand style guides and guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:


Experience :

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in graphic design, particularly in email design and coding.


Software Skills :

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for design tasks, as well as HTML and CSS for coding and creating responsive email layouts.


Portfolio :

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates both creative email design work and technical skills in HTML/CSS coding. This would likely include examples of past email campaigns, newsletters, or promotional materials that showcase both design and functionality.


Communication :

  • The ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. The role likely involves discussing design concepts, campaign goals, and deadlines with the marketing team and other departments.


Problem-Solving :

  • The ability to identify and fix issues related to email rendering (e.g., broken images, incorrect formatting, etc.) across different platforms, such as Gmail, Apple Mail, and Outlook.


Self-Management :

  • Being able to work independently and manage multiple tasks at once, meeting deadlines and staying organized.


Resourcefulness :

  • Having the necessary tools, such as a laptop/computer and software, to carry out the job responsibilities effectively.
