JGU is a non-profit global and research focused university and appoints faculty members from India and different parts of the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience.With over 16,000 students and 1100+ full time faculty members, studying and living on a fully residential campus, JGU's twelve schools focus on Law, Business & Management, International Affairs, Public Policy, Liberal Arts & Humanities, Journalism, Art & Architecture, Banking & Finance, Environment & Sustainability, Psychology & Counselling, Languages & Literature and Public Health & Human Development.Job Tasks and Responsibilities:Operations ManagementManage day-to-day kitchen and food service operations across campus dining facilities.Ensure all meals are prepared and served in accordance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards.Monitor inventory, food supplies, and kitchen equipment to ensure smooth functioning.Implement cost-effective practices to reduce food waste and optimize resources.Culinary Services OversightSupervise and guide culinary staff, including chefs, cooks, and service personnel.Plan, design, and oversee menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.Ensure compliance with nutrition, health, and food safety guidelines.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients and materials.Service ExcellenceEnsure exceptional service standards are maintained for all employees, students, and guests.Manage catering services for university events, seminars, and official gatherings.Address feedback and complaints proactively, ensuring continuous improvement in services.Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and customer-centric service within the food & beverage team.Other Skills:Organisational skills and attention to detail;Communication and interpersonal skills;Leadership & Team Management skills;Excellent organizational skills with the ability to deliver to set deadlines;Strong interpersonal, report writing and statistical analysis skills with the ability to communicate at all levels;Excellent presentation and communication skills;Proven ability in multitasking and prioritizing workload;A flexible, target-driven, proactive approach;Administrative and IT skills;Self-motivation and enthusiasm.Experience & Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, or related field.3–5 years of experience in food & beverage operations, preferably in an institutional or hospitality setting.Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen management.
