Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Automation Engineer at Circen Technologies in Chennai. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, process control, electrical engineering, automation, and robotics on a day-to-day basis.

Resposibilities

  • Design and develop PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs based on project requirements.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of PLC-based systems.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing PLC software and hardware to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other engineers and technicians to integrate PLC systems with other automated systems.
  • Document PLC programming and configuration details for maintenance and future reference.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel and end-users.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in PLC technology and applications to drive continuous improvement.
  • Design, Test, Debug, and commission Electrical panel.
  • Provide detailed documentation (Controls Philosophy, Description of Operation, Risk Assessment, User Manual, FAT, SAT, etc.
  • On-site installation and commissioning of the PC panel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation Technology, or related field.
  • Solid experience in PLC programming and automation systems design, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of industrial communication protocols and interfaces.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
