Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of expertise in mechanical design and automation systems. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of automation systems, ensuring high-quality project documentation, fabrication drawings, and effective coordination of hardware and parts ordering. Strong organizational skills and adherence to 5 S principles for managing office and computer files are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design & Automation: Lead the design, analysis, and development of automation systems, ensuring all designs meet functional and safety requirements.
Mechanical BOM (Bill of Materials): Develop, manage, and maintain accurate mechanical Bills of Materials for project builds.
Fabrication Drawings & Instructions: Create detailed fabrication drawings and provide clear instructions to ensure proper manufacturing and assembly of components.
Project Documentation: Maintain and update comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all designs meet internal and external standards.
Order Hardware and Parts: Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of hardware, parts, and components for project builds.
5 S Principles: Implement 5 S principles to promote organization and efficiency in office and computer file management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution and integration of designs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on automation.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Auto CAD, or similar).
Experience with mechanical BOMs, fabrication drawings, and parts ordering.
Strong understanding of 5 S principles for organization and efficiency.
Excellent project documentation skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM
Job Type: Full Time
